Gemma Mollenhauer Physiotherapist at Evolutio Sports Physio headshot

Gemma Mollenhauer - Physiotherapist

Eureka we’ve found our diamond in the rough! Excuse us, pardon the Mollenhauer pun. Gem is a physiotherapist by day and a cycling aficionado by, well… the day, we don’t really know what she gets up to at night, we can’t legally track it according to our legal team. When she’s not helping folks get back on their feet (literally), you can find her tearing up the road, track, gravel, or cyclocross courses with her local team, Duda Cycling.

Despite being a late-comer to sports, Gem hit the ground running, moving up through the cycling ranks to race at a national level among Australia's best. She holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours, where she delved into the research landscape of relative energy deficiency in female elite cyclists. Her findings uncovered a stark lack of research in this area, sparking her mission to educate and develop strong and healthy female athletes.

Gem is passionate about racing crits and doing her part to grow the next generation of strong athletes. When she’s not pedaling, she’s either diving into the world of sports psychology and menstrual cycle hacking for peak sports performance or she’s baking some tasty treats to share.

With a deep understanding of what it takes to become a national-level athlete and physiotherapist, Gem’s dual skills mean she can probably fix your bike and your back in one go.

Bayden Campbell - Physiotherapist & Co Clinic Director

With 9 years experience as a Physiotherapist, Bayden has taken on a co-clinic director role after being conscripted from Tasmania to the team in 2016.

Bayden is the fourth best item to be exported from the iconic state, following in no specific order, Pinot Noir, Sullivans Cove whiskey and Simon Baker. Bayden loves all complex injuries, running injuries, chronic foot pain, biomechanics issues associated with those evil orthotics, powerlifting injuries, and anything complicated; he’s your man.

Built on the old-fashioned principles of hard yakka and earning your dinner (we're not actually sure if he grew up on a farm), Bayden brings a wealth of experience as a Physio in strength and conditioning and high-level rehab to the team at Evolutio.

If it wasn't for the black cow steak bistro in Launceston, we might never have gone to Tasmania to recruit a team member. However, after meeting Bayden and being told by authorities we had to have diversity amongst our team, we very quickly realised he was a constant overachiever and as rare as David Boon.
